TRAFFIC ALERT: Auburn Boulevard Water Main Work Expected to Cause Traffic Delays
Replacement of a 60-year-old water main along Auburn Boulevard between Cedar Drive and Linden Avenue (north of Antelope Road) in Citrus Heights is underway. Work began in mid-September 2011 and is scheduled to continue through mid-June 2012. Most of the work will take place in traffic lanes on Auburn Boulevard. Traffic control will be set up for most of the project's duration and may cause traffic delays. Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes to avoid this construction area on Auburn Boulevard.. Work on the project is scheduled to stop during the "holiday moratorium period" for construction on major thoroughfares that begins at the Thanksgiving holiday and ends after the New Years Day holiday.
